I have come across a new idea in commuting by bike. Some cleaver folks have devised a way to feel safer riding into a big city. Check out this video demonstrating the "Bike Bus" concept.

Any new ideas on bikes and bike riding in your area?
I don't know if it's new, exactly, but it's new to me. I have been a bike commuter on and off for several years now. But I recently replaced my old commuter (bit of a beater anyway) with a folding bike. I like how I can take it on the train with me, or on the bus, without needing the front rack to be empty. It's made travelling in the city with my bike a lot easier. And safer too.
